I suffer from IOD (Information Overload Disorder). It’s a commonly mis-diagnosed disease because its outcomes simulate laziness. In fact IOD is anything but laziness. One might say it’s the converse of laziness by nature of its sheer and exhausting over-activity. Still, IOD does share the outcome of laziness.
Doesn’t it seem paradoxical that over-activity results in lack of productivity? I’d even venture to call it oxymoronic. Over-activity in information gathering seems to foster AILOMI (An Incredible List Of Marketing Ideas) which can be cured by a very complex remedy called FOCUS (Fooled Overly Curious Users Successfully – no, I fooled you, it’s not an acronym, so focus NOW!). Left unattended, IOD and AILOMI without FOCUS will always lead to “Failure To Launch.” Um, I don’t have an acronym for FTL, just initials, not an acronym. “Failure To Launch” could however be abbreviated to FaiTL, and coincidentally Failure To Launch is quite fatal.
Symptoms: Uncontrollable curiosity; unrestricted drive and desire to learn and succeed; a vast library of literature on the hard drive; a complete lack of monetized content on the Internet; a depleted bank account; bill collectors; foreclosure; living on last $200 of credit card limit, and a prayer. (Well, those are just MY symptoms, yours may differ.)
Cure: The “little blue pill” for IOD, AILOMI, and FaiTL is Affiliate Marketing Schoolbook & Mentoring.
Prognosis: Without the cure, likely to continue searching, but never … Oh, look at that link for an eBook. Please wait while I check it out. I’ll be right back to finish writing this note for Laura Burke…
(If you'd like to win free mentoring in affiliate marketing, enter the contest by Sunday, August 29. See rules and more information here. Voting will take place August 30 through September 5.)

I LOVE my “job.” Affiliate marketing takes work, but it doesn’t feel like work.
