Now playing: I Will Remember You by Sarah McLachlan

When I enter a web page into the Google keyword tool to see what keywords they use, it comes up with a very long list of keywords. However, when I went back to the page to see how the web site owner used the keywords, I wasn't able to find any. Am I misunderstanding how this works? I am writing content and I would like to see how other well established site owners incorporate their keywords.
Basically, it is making suggestions based on what it finds on the web site's pages. If you click on Views > Customize Columns on the far right, you can check Extracted from Webpage and it will tell you which page of the site it analyzed in order to find those suggested related keywords. (This is assuming you're using the new interface—if you prefer the old, click on Previous Interface at upper right and you can choose columns to display.)
If you want to easily find exactly what keywords a site is using, you can use an SEO toolbar such as SEO Quake. When you're at the site you're examining, go to Page Info in the toolbar or by using the menu item Tools at the top of your browser: Tools > SEO Quake > Page Info. It will break down all the keywords actually found on the page, and then you can go see how they've incorporated them.
